Minimundus
About
Minimundus, located on the shores of Lake Wörthersee in Klagenfurt, is a world‑scale miniature park that brings the wonders of the globe into a single landscape. Each exhibit—featuring iconic landmarks, trains, ships, bridges and even a large cinema—has been meticulously crafted at a 1:25 scale from original materials such as marble, sandstone and basalt. The park is divided into an expansive outdoor maze and a thriving indoor adventure world with a 4D cinema, a mini Cooper ride, interactive globes, and a live NASA feed from the International Space Station. Though the park is currently closed to visitors until 27 March 2026, it remains one of Carinthia’s most popular family attractions, offering a blend of education, entertainment and imaginative exploration that appeals to all ages. Visitors have reported that a typical tour takes between 1½ and 3 hours, with room for photo breaks and leisurely exploration, so a two‑hour visit is a good estimate.
