The Predigtstuhlbahn cable car, inaugurated in 1928, is a historic attraction that climbs 1,140 metres from the valley of Bad Reichenhall to the summit of the Predigtstuhl mountain. Visitors enjoy sweeping alpine vistas, a charming mountain restaurant, and the Alpine Hut at Schlegelmulde. The cable car operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on all days during the summer season, with special passes available on the second Sunday of each month.
