Hundred year old Rectory, situated 900 meters above sea level on the sunny slopes of Gmeineck, in the Austrian Alps. I renovated the Rectory to a comfortable standard while keeping the charm of the old house where possible. "Das Pfarrhaus - The Rectory" sits in the middle of the tiny farming community of Altersberg. The village is very child friendly with little or no traffic, unless you count goats running across the road. Trekking holidays are extremely popular and quite a few routes start at our front door. There are three beautiful crystal clear lakes within a few kilometers of the house, a summer paradise for swimmers, cyclists, walkers and motorcyclists. Winter paradise for Skiers, Skaters, Ice climbers, or just walking in a winter wonderland. The Italian and Slovenian borders are a mere 40 minute drive from us.
