Abenteuer Affenberg—also known as Monkey Mountain—offers visitors an immersive outdoor adventure with around 180 Japanese macaques. Visitors step into a 4.5‑hectare open enclosure and can watch the monkeys climb, play, and even swim or dive. Guided tours, available in German and English, last approximately 45 minutes and are the only way to enter the enclosure. For those looking for a more exclusive experience, private and special tours can be booked, and supporters can become a “patron” to help maintain the park. The park opens all week from March 28th and from late September to early November, with tour schedules adjusted for low, high, and post‑high seasons. Ticket prices range from €7 for handicapped children to €17 for adult tourists, making the experience accessible—and extremely engaging—for all ages.
