The Wurstelstand LEO (sausage stand) is Vienna's oldest Wurstelstand. 1928 Leopold Mlynek senior founded the first Wurstelstand in Vienna. Among the guests was also the legendary Austrian Federal Chancellor Bruno Kreisky. Since 1991 Vera Tondl, the granddaughter of Leopold Mlynek sen., Is in charge of the Wurstelstand. She builds a new stand in 1997 in the bright colours white and turquoise. Until today the Wurstelstand LEO is a popular venue by day and night! Especially in demand is the the legendary Cheese Krainer sausage, and here the giant cheese Krainer - the BIG Mama! 2018 is a big anniversary year for LEO, as we celebrate 90 years!
