Dzokden Kalapa
About
Located at Dzokden Kalapa International Retreat Center — just 1 train hour from Graz (the Capital of Styria, in South Austria) — you will find a jewel in the mountains at 1.000-meter altitude, with stunning views: a Kālachakra Stūpa. A stūpa is a characteristic expression of Buddhist architecture that represents the enlightened mind. It is a Buddhist monument & sanctuary, representing qualities such as peace, wisdom, and compassion. A very similar stūpa can be found in Dharamsala, India, at the residence of H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama. Circumambulating the stūpa and offering flowers, candlelight, or incense is considered particularly auspicious. While doing so, bring to mind any negative deeds you want to purify and generate a mind that wishes for the well-being of all beings. In this way, you will connect yourself with the mind of enlightenment and accumulate merit for your spiritual development.
