Rubenshuis, situated at Hopland 13 in central Antwerp, is a museum and research centre that celebrates the legacy of the 17th‑century artist Peter Paul Rubens. The baroque palace has been transformed into the immersive Rubens Experience, featuring interactive displays, a reconstructed studio and video installations that bring the artist’s workshop to life. Visitors can also explore the 8‑hectare Baroque garden redesign, created by fashion designer Dries Van Noten, and the museum’s extensive library, which houses about 60 000 documents, manuscripts and books about Rubens and his contemporaries. The museum is open Monday through Sunday, with the Rubens Experience and garden open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and until 6 p.m. on weekends, while the library is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and closed on weekends. Tickets can be purchased online or at the museum; an adult ticket costs €12, but children under 18, A‑card holders, and residents with certain museum passes enter for free. Rubenshuis offers guided tours for groups and individual visitors and hosts family‑friendly activities during school holidays. Accessibility is a priority: the museum is fully wheelchair‑accessible, has hearing and visual aids, and provides free tickets for people with disabilities or on free passes.
