About

A Caberdouche was known as a bar with a rough reputation in the popular districts of old Brussels. Its name derives from the Spanish expression "Cabe una dulce", litterally "here comes a sweety". These bars were large enough to host ladies of pleasure and over the centuries, its meaning progressively evolved to refer to a cabaret or a small Brussels café. Initiated by four friends who fell in love with their city, Le Caberdouche project was born in the light of this Brussel's historical heritage. Situated in place de la liberté, in the heart of an old working-class neighbourhood that became a haven of peace in the capital, our café serves homemade food prepared by our chef who mixes traditional flavours with a touch of world cuisine. On top of an original culinary experience, Le Carbedouche also offers a selection of fine beers and organic wines to be discovered in a traditional Brussels décor and a warm, friendly and diverse environment.
