About

Nemo 33 is an indoor freshwater diving facility in Brussels that dazzles with its 34.5 m (113 ft) depth—the deepest indoor pool in the world when it opened in 2004. The pool holds 2.5 million litres of non‑chlorinated spring water kept at 30 °C, allowing divers to explore simulated caves and underwater windows without a dry suit. Designed by Belgian diving expert John Beernaerts, the venue offers diving instruction, recreational dives, and film productions, and has earned a reputation as one of the world’s most unique pools (Popular Mechanics listed it among the top 18 strangest pools). A comprehensive on‑site restaurant, shop, and surrounding attractions make it a full‑day activity for divers, tourists and diving enthusiasts alike.
