Zoo de Maubeuge
About
Zoo de Maubeuge is a family‑friendly zoological park located just 7 hectares beneath the historic Vauban fortifications in the heart of the city of Maubeuge, France. With more than 250 animals across 50 species, visitors can marvel at lions of Asia, Sri Lankan leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippopotamuses and many other charismatic mammals, birds and reptiles. The park offers a variety of themed visits and educational activities: from a one‑day keeper tour, through a 2‑hour “wild discoveries” adventure, to a full family pass that lets you roam freely and learn about conservation efforts that see €0.20 donated per entry. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a wandering child or a dedicated nature enthusiast, the zoo’s open, safe, and well‑maintained enclosures, along with its dedicated staff, provide a memorable experience for all ages.
