Hotel Plitvice
About
Hotel Plitvice, a landmark built by renowned Croatian architect Marijan Haberle between 1954‑1957, is the first A‑category hotel in Croatia and has become a protected cultural treasure. Although it is currently closed for renovations since November 2024 (or 2025 on the official site), it remains an iconic symbol of post‑war modern architecture. The hotel once offered 52 rooms—including standard, superior, premium and a junior suite—each with a stunning lake‑side or forest‑side view, a 160‑seat à‑la‑carte restaurant (now closed), a bar with terrace, and a TV lounge capable of hosting small gatherings and seminars. Reception operates 24 hours a day, and free parking is available for guests. As the hotel is temporarily closed, visitors seeking accommodation are recommended to stay at the nearby Jezero Hotel in the heart of Plitvice Lakes National Park. The hotel’s original location, just 200 m from the park’s visitor entrance, offers guests breathtaking views of the park’s plateau and a unique cultural‑historical context within the park’s landscape.
