Kormisosh State Hunitng Reserve occupies a part of the Prespa part of the Western Rhodopes with a highly cut mountainous relief, very steep slopes, with deeply incised and not always passable valleys. The ridges are mostly pointed with few flat spots. The place is located 210 km away from Sofia and 60 km away from Plovdiv. Kormisosh State Hunting Reserve is famous and legendary hunting destination, it was founded at the end of the 1960’s. Over the decades it has hosted heads of state and government leaders and prominent public figures,. The average attendance is about 35-40 groups of 3 to 7 people each, with mainly foreigner visitors during the hunting season. There is also an increasing number of tourists without a willingness to hunt, for whom we offer photo hunting and observation of local flora, fauna, natural sights, historical places and the nearby spiritual sanctuaries - Bachkovo Monastery and Krastova Gora (Cross Forest).
