Kapana Quarter – New colorful art face of Old Plovdiv town - 1 Day tour Kapana (The Trap) takes its name from the fifteenth century, when two narrow market spaces, pressed from everywhere with shops called “Un Trap” and “Buyuk Trap”, gave the name of the neighborhood around. It was the artisan “charshia” (a market place) of Plovdiv, and in 1652 the shops there numbered 880.
