Hadjidraganovite Kashti
About
Hadjidraganovite Kashti is a culinary landmark nestled in the heart of Sofia, housed within four beautifully restored Renaissance houses dating back to 1866. The complex, drawn from the architectural heritage of towns such as Koprivshtitsa, Zheravna, Melnik and Bansko, offers a picturesque courtyard and a vibrant summer garden that transport visitors back to the elegance of Bulgaria’s past. Guests are invited to indulge in a diverse menu of traditional Bulgarian dishes paired with a selection of local wines and brandy. The restaurant also boasts live folk music evenings every day except Tuesday, with performances kicking off at 8 p.m. and ending at midnight, creating an authentic atmosphere for diners. The concept of Hadjidraganovite Kashti was inspired by the 19th‑century merchant Hadji Dragan, who travelled across Bulgaria collecting the distinctive architectural styles of historic towns. The four houses were linked together in 2004, and today they symbolize a celebration of Bulgarian culture and hospitality. Operating from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily, the venue is easily accessible via the nearby intersection with Maria Luiza Boulevard. Reservations can be made online through the restaurant’s booking link or by calling the provided phone number.
