Welcome to Ayla Dalmatian Kitchen Lab Having spent many years traveling, living abroad, working in the music industry, running other various restaurant and business ventures, we decided to open a charming place, named after our 1-year old daughter, in the old town of Šibenik. For us, cooking is akin to creating music, crossing layers of melodies with subtle rhythms that triggers something within, something that evokes emotion, a sense of understanding and encouragement. We see ourselves as intuitive, spontaneous, carefree, and thus welcome you into our world of flavours and aromas. The inspiration for our varied culinary style comes from a diverse blend of the Asian, Mediterranean and Dalmatian regions. In our laboratory, we use locally sourced products and offer a sleek unpretentious menu where dishes combine rustic Dalmatian cuisine with a modern twist. We offer high-quality locally sourced seafood, meat, homemade pasta, gourmet pizza and delicious desserts, accompanied by local wines. Ayla is ‘where fine meets casual’, so expect a cozy ambiance, with finely selected music, and a charming sea breeze in the air.
