Salona–one of the most important Roman towns and medieval fortress Klis, place where popular Game Of Thrones was shot. Salona was founded after the Roman civil wars under Julius Caesar and it was a striving town, three times bigger than Pompeii. Klis fortress, from its origin as a small stronghold built by the ancient Illyrian tribe Dalmatae, becomes a royal castle that was seat of Croatian kings.
