The Academic and General Bookshop is an independent bookshop founded in 1976 by two brothers, and has since remained family owned and operated. We are home to over 500'000 books, predominantly in English, Greek, as well as some in Russian, and German. We have sections in modern and classical literature, botany, psychology, history, philosophy, Cypriana, travel, cooking and baking, science, hobbies and sports, nutrition, new age, religion, pedagogy, and a children's section with over 50'000 titles. We stock used books, and can offer methods of trading for store credit, as well as accommodating special orders, and the discovery and importation of rare and out of print books. Our newly opened garden is available for reading, discussion, seminars, books clubs, and poetry readings for small groups, free of charge.
