The lounge overlooking the garden, beyond a terrace, features comfortable settees and a smart TV with internet access. Sliding doors open onto a terrace under a covered pergola, furnished with cozy garden seating and a table. This terrace faces your private, large pool, set in a landscaped garden with a lush lawn. The garden and pool area are secluded, offering ample shaded areas. For the cooler winter months, the villa is equipped with full central heating and a cozy fireplace. Three of the bedrooms on the first floor retain their original wood floors, while the newly added fourth bedroom on the ground floor features light-colored parquet flooring. Rooms are adorned with Turkish carpets and kilims. All rooms are air-conditioned, with some also featuring ceiling-mounted fans. Each bedroom boasts breathtaking views of the 'Five-Fingers' mountains, and all have balconies offering mountain and/or sea views. Each bedroom also has its own en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom includes an Ottoman-style bay window with a divan, perfect for lounging or sleeping, suitable for both an adult or child. The rooms are decorated with original artwork from different parts of the world. All windows and sliding doors are coated with a reflective film that makes the interior invisible from the garden, appearing as mirrors from the outside. This allows maximum daylight into the house with privacy, without the need for net curtains. Additionally, all windows and sliding doors are fitted with fly screens for the comfort of guests in every season. Villa Papaya boasts a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a dining table that seats up to 10 guests. In addition to standard white goods, the kitchen includes a water cooler and a microwave. For more formal dining, there is an 8-seater table next to the lounge. In the garden next to the pool, there is a covered area with a built-in barbecue, perfect for enjoying barbecues around another 8-seater table. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the villa. Towels, including extra pool towels, and linen (with duvets provided for the winter months) are also included. The maid will clean and prepare the beds before your check-in; daily maid service and welcome packs are available upon request. Since 2017, Villa Papaya has consistently received 5-star reviews. While we cannot exceed a 5-star rating (!), we are confident our guests will enjoy even more comfort following the addition in the spring of 2024 a new bedroom, en-suite bathrooms in all bedrooms, and the installation of double glazing, LED spotlights and light strips throughout the villa. Villa Papaya also offers several safety features, including fire extinguishers, a fire blanket, and smoke detectors. For families with young children, the pool is gated with all around railings; in addition to the presence of stair runners, we can install safety gates on the top and/or bottom of the stairs. Getting here: You have the option of flying into Ercan Airport (North Cyprus), just a 25-minute transfer away. Alternatively, for a wider selection of airlines, you can fly into Larnaca or Paphos (South Cyprus), with transfer times of 90 and 120 minutes, respectively. We can arrange airport transfers and car hire upon request. Location: Although the villa is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, it is just a 10-minute walk from the main road, where you will find numerous restaurants and cafés. A five-minute drive will take you to the center of Bellapais, a beautiful and historic mountain village dating back to Venetian times, known for its unique shops and restaurants. A five-minute drive in the opposite direction brings you to supermarkets, ATMs, and Kyrenia town center. Kyrenia's stunning ancient harbor and Venetian castle are among the main attractions of Cyprus. The lively harbor café area, the historic center of Kyrenia, is just a 10-minute drive away. Here, you can book boat trips on traditional Gumbet-style wooden boats. Kyrenia also offers a vibrant nightlife with diverse cuisines, bars, clubs, and casinos. Alagadi Beach, a major turtle sanctuary, is just a 15-minute drive from the villa. Five minutes further will bring you to the spectacular Korineum Golf Course. A little further afield is the Karpas Peninsula nature reserve, known for its spectacular scenery and donkey sanctuary. Historical sites like the ruins of Salamis and Soli, as well as the Venetian city walls of Famagusta and Nicosia, with their Ottoman-era kervansarays and hammams, are waiting to be discovered.
