“Art is for pleasure. Art is a joy! To enjoy beautifully created images or objects, to live with them and to allow their presence in your life to give you their energy, their colour, their vibrancy, their positivity”. Cotton Contemporary Art opened in January 2022 specialising in a clutch of well known international artists such as Serge Mendjisky, Symon, Manjeet Shergill and Thawan Praman, with works that are strongly but not exclusively Asian focused. The focus of the gallery is threefold: bold, colourful, character drenched paintings that look wonderful in sunny environments; superbly carved antique Chinese furniture with beautiful lines that will last an eternity; and stunning antique Buddha statues to bring us closer to calm and clarity. In addition we have a range of interesting objets d’art, sculptures, boxes, and interesting items that will be themselves talking points in anyone’s home from a range of origins.
