Moustakallis Tavern
About
Moustakallis Tavern, nestled in the historic town of Polis Chrysochous on Cyprus’s southern coast, has been a family‑owned culinary landmark since 1978. Founded by Papa Moustakallis, a former copper refinery worker and butcher, the tavern was established with the help of his wife Katerina and has grown through three generations of the family. The tavern offers an extensive menu that showcases authentic Cypriot flavors, including traditional Lamb Kleftiko, grilled meats, fresh vegetables, and locally sourced seafood. Each dish is prepared with meticulous care and fresh ingredients. Visitors can choose from three spacious dining areas that cater to both intimate meals and large groups, making it an ideal spot for families, friends, and travelers alike. Beyond its cuisine, Moustakallis Tavern prides itself on a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The central location near the main square ensures ample parking and easy access, while the bar offers local and international wines, gluten‑free and vegan options, and a selection of craft beers. Reservations are encouraged for larger parties, especially during the busy summer months—online reservations can be made via the tavern’s booking page.
