About
Museum of Fine Arts Liberec is the fifth-largest gallery in the Czech Republic. It was founded in 1953, and since 2014, it has been located in the building of the former municipal baths. It manages collections of more than 21,000 artworks from the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands, and other European countries, and is rightfully called the Museum of European Art. The art collections consist of paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, and historical objects and are registered in the Central Records of Collections of the Ministry of Culture. The gallery displays them in a total of three permanent exhibitions. In addition, it also offers a range of short-term exhibitions by both regional and international artists.
