About
Let us invite you to the House at the Golden Ring and enter the period when Prague developed and expanded. King Charles IV boldly planned an unprecedented development of the city, which is still evident today. The exposition presents many unique exhibits, archaeological findings, and models of important buildings. Video mapping and virtual realization vividly approximate the stage of urban development of Prague during the 14th century and provides an unprecedented experience. After its opening, the exhibition received a special award in the GLORIA MUSAEALIS National Museum Competition. The House at the Golden Ring is a unique Gothic-Renaissance building situated in the historic centre with surviving fragments of Late Gothic murals. The earliest records of the house date back to the 14th century. In addition to the Prague Charles IV exposition, there is another unique installation in the museum: Prague 1606 / Multimedia view of Rudolf II's Prague. Audio guide is available in English.
