About

A.C. Perch's Tea Shop & Tea Room is the oldest tea shop in Europe. Niels Brock Perch opened his little shop in Kronprinsensgade 5 in the year 1835, and it hasn't changed since. Naturally, the shop has been renovated since then, but apart from electric light and some staff, everything has stayed tea same. The Perch family owned the shop until 1894, when the Hincheldey family took over. Today the 4th generation is in charge of the shop, and not seldom 3 generations operate behind the counter at the same time. Because the shop is a family business, we have been able to serve our customers personally, - which means that the customers are familiar with the faces behind the counter. It is our deepest wish that the customers feel welcome here, and politeness and friendliness are some of our major deeds.
