Meet the stoneage hunters from Nivaa Fjord and come close to a 7,500 year old tomb and experience how they lived. In the other part of the museum you will find the magnififient story of Hirscholm Castle. The castle buildings, used by the royal family itself, were situated where Hørsholm Church now stands. Learn the outrageously story of the affair between King Christian 7'th wife and his physician J.F. Struensee. In 1771 the royal family stayed at Hirschholm Castle, and the Queen gave birth to a daughter by Struensee. In 1772 Struensee was overthrown and executed after a political trial. The royal couple divorced and Caroline Mathilde was sent into exile. The royal family never again used Hirscholm castle.
