MUSEUM ON THE EDGE OF FAXE LIMESTONE QUARRY Travel 63 million years back to the time when Denmark was covered by a deep sea and a large coral reef was growing where the town of Faxe is located today. Sharks and crocodiles lived here along with more than 500 other animal species. At Geomuseum Faxe, you can see animal fossils and learn about the more than 900 years of limestone quarrying in the old coral reef. You can also go fossil hunting in Faxe Limestone Quarry and find your own 63 million years old fossils.
