About

The department of Natural History and Palaeontology in Museum Soenderjylland is putting 10 million year old fossils from the clay pit of Gram on display. The clay in the old pit is actually an old sea bottom, where you can find a lot of fossils. The museum is inviting you to participate in finding whale bones, sharks teeth, shells of molluscs, sea urchins and perhaps a unique find that nobody else has found before. This happens almost every year. You can borrow digging tools and wellies at the museum, if you don't bring your own. A very nice and exciting activity for all ages. Closed for the winter. We will reopen on 28 March 2025
