About
The great Danish painter L.A. Ring lived through his life in different locations on Zealand. Together with his wife he settled in Roskilde in 1914. He lived the last 19 years of his life at St. Jørgensbjerg near the harbour. Just below the family home was a small house, which Ring bought, and here he added a studio at the back. In this house, Brøndgade 1 - and in the streets around it – Ring painted many of his last pictures. In Brøndgade 1, 4000 Roskilde you can see an original house from the beginning of 1800 and a small exhibition about L.A. Ring's works.
