Rannu vassal stronghold was established in the middle of the 13th century by the Livonian Dolen family.The stronghold was destroyed by the Russian army during the Livonian War. The park that is surrounded by a wall, former manor buildings and a pond, has been taken under protection. The memorial stone to the Battle of Rannu was placed in the park in 2006. There are basketball and volleyball courts in the manor park.
