About

This meteorite crater is in the Orguse forest in the village of Avanduse in the Simuna municipal district. It is 8.5 metres in diameter, making it the sixth largest crater of its kind in Estonia. The meteorite which created it fell to the Earth in 1937, exploding in the air just to the east of Roela and scattered fragments all around. The crater was discovered in 1984.
