KARVIO HOLIDAY RESORT is situated in Eastern Finland, right beside the natural beauty of the Karvio rapids, on the Heinävesi Way. We provide holiday cottage accommodation, camping, catering, and a varied activity programme suitable for free-time fun and for private and corporate functions. The Resort has caravan and tent sites, as well as two maintenance buildings. You can easily reach us by following road number 23( from Joensuu to Varkaus) on the northern shores of Lake Kermajärvi. Indeed, your journey to us can even be made by boat. There are 18 buoy seats on the guests’ landing stage. Boaters are catered for at the Neste service station, with refuelling and waste disposal provisions. Our holiday cottages are in use all-year round, while our camping cottages are available from May to late autumn. Karvio Holiday Resort is open from May 1st to September 15th, as is the pizza restaurant. At other times, accommodation and catering services can be arranged when requested. Nearby sights include the Valamo monastery and Lintula convent, both of which are approx. 10 kilometres from the Resort. The main village of Heinävesi is only 26 kilometres away. The village of Karvio has its own petrol station and market. The Karvio rapids, running beside the camping site, is a fishing zone maintained by Metsähallitus / Wild North.
