About

In a small village in Lot et Garonne, at Temple sur Lot, a botanist hybridizer invented, in 1875, colored water lilies, which the painter Claude Monet made into a masterpiece. A 5-minute walk from his nursery, Thierry Huau, scenographer and landscaper, invites you to discover the fascinating world of Mr. Joseph Bory Latour-Marliac, between house and gardens. For the first time since 1911, the date of his death, his house and garden will open to the public in the summer of 2024 and offer us an astonishing initiatory journey. The gardens, walls, mirrors and ceilings will tell you about a time when, thanks to industrialization, the birth of color photography and the incredible craze for horticulture, we will witness the emergence of one of the greatest artistic movements in the world which will create masterpieces in painting, in literature, but also in music and decorative arts. So we look forward to seeing you! Book quickly: www.billetweb.fr/maison-musee-latour-marliac
