Silvacane Abbey a testimony to the influence of the Cistercian order all over Provence as early as the 21th century majestically stands out against the Luberon mountain. Mainly Roman in its features, its pure lines, its balanced volume and proportions make a place of calmness and enlightenment of it. While wandering under the high stone vaults, you will be able to discover the varied rooms which are part of a Cistercian abbey: the church, the dormitory, the cloister, the chapter house, the boiler room … A leaflet translated into several languages is available, and audio-guide in French and English. The Abbey’s shop and bookshop offer a large range of various items such as books, calligraphy caskets, CDs, jewellery, essential oil, soap, honey, herbal tea, and products of the land...
