This museum is located in the herat of the former industrial site of "Le Saut du Tarn", in the building where the first hydroelectric power plant used to be. This building, classidified as "Historic Monument" ressurects both this industrial epic ans the beginnings of electricity. Dynamos, alternators, and underground tunnels will guide you to the turbines, where visitors can walk where the water once ran... Le Saut du Tarn was foundede in 1824 near the town of Albi. Originally tasked with the production of steel and the manufacture of tools, it is one of the rare companies in France to have experimented with most of the steel-making processes. Its products, known under the brands Talabot and SDT, attained worldwide fame. The plant employed several generations of workers, skills often being passed on from father to son. The "factory" forged not only metal but also the brotherhood between its employees. Videos films, animated models, a sound and light enhance your journey.
