Jardins Secrets
About
Situated in the picturesque Haute‑Savoie region between Annecy and Aix‑les‑Bains, Jardins Secrets is a living tapestry of nature, architecture, and creativity. This family‑run garden, spread over 7 000 m², invites visitors to wander through a series of meticulously crafted gardens, patios, and galleries that blend Andalusian, Austrian, Indian, and Mediterranean influences. Each space is a work of art, featuring vibrant plants, artful stonework, and quiet water features that together create an intimate and contemplative experience. The gardens were founded in 1994 by Alain and Nicole Moumen and their daughters, who transformed a former farmstead into the unique maze of paths and courtyards known today. The site showcases a blend of hand‑crafted wooden structures, chalybeate stonework, and earth‑based design, highlighting the couple’s dedication to sustainability and local materials. Visitors can explore the “Jardin Andalou” with its cascading water basins, the “Jardin Tunisien” with its fragrant orange and fig trees, and the “Jardin Suiss” that winds through alpine flora. Beyond the flora, Jardins Secrets offers a small restaurant serving seasonal, locally sourced delicacies, interactive guides, and free educational games for families. Free entry is available for children under six, while tickets can be purchased on the spot—no prior reservation needed—making it an excellent spontaneous excursion for lovers of nature, design, and culinary delights alike.
