Its privileged motifs are the white roads, the garrigues around Avignon, the light and the Mediterranean coasts, the peninsula of Giens and the island of Porquerolles. Loved by amateurs, Auguste Roure gave up his lithographer job to devote himself fully to painting and teach at the Municipal School of Fine Arts from 1919.
