O Papilles - Le Restaurant
About
Located in the heart of Avignon’s historic centre, O Papilles offers a relaxed, convivial dining experience on the picturesque Place des Châtaignes. Every dish is prepared from scratch, using 100 % fresh, locally‑sourced ingredients that change with the seasons. The team of chefs—Sébastien Dupré and Anaël Trazic—bring a blend of traditional Provencal flavours and contemporary culinary techniques, creating a menu that is both comforting and inventive. O Papilles is proud to hold the Ecotable certification, a hallmark of sustainable dining in France. Their commitment to eco‑dynamism is evident in every aspect of the kitchen: a zero‑waste approach, use of wild‑foraged produce, and strict preference for short‑distance, ethically‑grown ingredients. The restaurant’s values shine through the thoughtfully crafted menus, which run from 9 € for a light starter to around 33 € for a flagship entrée. Beyond the main restaurant, the venue offers the “Cantine,” a 60 m² event space with a classic bistro ambience and vaulted cellar, ideal for private parties, team‑building sessions, and culinary courses. The Cantine’s open kitchen layout encourages interaction and showcases the chefs’ craft. During the winter months, O Papilles remains open 19:00‑21:00 from Tuesday to Friday and offers a brunch from 12:00‑13:30 on Saturdays, with the evening service concluding at 21:00. In July and August, the doors open 12:00‑14:30 for lunch, 19:00‑21:30 for dinner, and remain fully open every day of the week, providing a vibrant atmosphere for both locals and visitors alike.
