Alligator Bay, situated just five minutes from the iconic Mont Saint‑Michel, was opened in 1994 and has since become a sought‑after destination for reptile lovers and families alike. The park’s collection features more than 700 animals from five continents, ranging from towering crocodiles and alligators to countless species of lizards, snakes and turtles. With an average of 115 000 visitors per year, the park offers a variety of attractions that combine education, entertainment and close encounters with local wildlife. The main highlights include a tropical greenhouse that houses a diverse range of large reptiles, a maze that showcases the continent’s most extensive reptile collection, and a sprawling farm that displays over four hundred species of turtles and tortoises. Alligator Bay’s facilities are designed to accommodate visitors of all ages, with dedicated observation towers, interactive displays and social media‑ready photo spots. In addition to the core reptile exhibits, the park offers specialized zones such as the Dinosaur Plain, the Great Alligator Pond and the Tiger‑Turtle Observation Deck, ensuring visitors leave with a memorable and immersive experience. The park is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the summer months, with opening hours varying outside of peak season based on local regulations.
