Whether you want a holiday, a break from the hectic life, an opportunity to relax and get close to nature, or hiking activities and mountain sports to share with family, friends, or even alone: La Scuola di Chiappera (School of Chiappera) has it all. We offer an innovative tourism concept which employs the model of Diffused Hospitality: accomodation, services and activities all found in the historical but exciting hamlet: Chiappera, in the province of Cuneo. Chiappera is the hamlet which takes the long Maira valley to its north-west limit. The valley is one of a few near Cuneo belonging to the expansive Occitan area which stretches from the north-west part of Italy to Spain; it is characterised by its wild and untouched appearance that seems to have remained the same during the last few decades. The cornerstone of our project is the Ospitalita Montana (Alpine Hospitality), diffused around the hamlet of Chiappera, which allows you to take a step back in time, while still having all the creature comforts of today, staying in the Classrooms or in the hamlet houses (the Barn, the Stockhouse, the Stables and the "Pilgrim" hut), to live an authentic alpine experience immersed in nature and the local customs. Pierpaolo and Stefano are waiting for you, to share with you the colours and tastes of the Maira Valley, including in the kitchen thanks to dishes and recipes of ancient traditions.
