La Maison des Vins de Saint-Chinian This is an ideal starting point from which to begin exploring the AOC Saint-Chinian area. The Syndicat AOC Saint-Chinian has occupied this handsome 18th century building since 1988. It was formerly the office of French singer-songwriter Charles Trenet's father, who worked here as a public notary for almost ten years. Today it stands in the shade of the mighty plane trees that line the town square, offering visitors a range of services aimed at helping them discover and enjoy the Saint-Chinian area, independently or as part of an organised trip. The air-conditioned tasting room on the first floor can accommodate groups of wine enthusiasts (20 people maximum) for a presentation and guided tasting.
