Chateau Lagrange
About
Located in the village of Bourg, in the heart of the “Côtes de Bourg” region, whose wine vocation dates back to Antiquity, our 8,4 hectares vineyard benefits from the specific microclimate generated by the Gironde estuary, giving to the hill sides of our C.D.O a significant advantage over other Bordeaux wines: greater solar radiation, less extreme temperatures, less rainfall. Planted on coasts, near the banks of the Dordogne, our vines also enjoy an ideal exposure for the ripening of the grapes, while the clay-limestone soil brings freshness and drainage. We find there the traditional Bordeaux grape varieties: Merlot (58%), Malbec (18%), Cabernet Sauvignon (16%) and Cabernet Franc (8%). The blend of these grape varieties produces a fruity, gourmet and balanced wine.
