L’Observatoire du Gabriel
About
Le Gabriel, an iconic Bordeaux restaurant, was acquired in early 2019 by the de Boüard de Laforest family, owners of Château Angelus in Saint-Émilion. It joins a family particularly attached to the region and its influence, for whom conviviality, elegance and hedonism are heritage values. Housed in an elegant 18th-century building with a breathtaking view of the famous Place de la Bourse, the Miroir d'Eau and the Garonne River, Le Gabriel's four floors include a bar offering tasty tapas to share, accompanied by cocktails; a bistro, Le 1544, dedicated to regional, gourmet and generous seasonal cuisine; a gourmet restaurant with 1 Michelin star in 2021, named “L'Observatoire” and headed by Chef Bertrand Noeureuil; and a space reserved for seminars. Each space cultivates its own identity, while resting on a foundation of shared values: hospitality, sharing, savoir-vivre and the French art of living.
