About

Located in the heart of Bordeaux, La Flèche Saint‑Michel stands proudly as the second‑tallest bell tower in France at 114 metres. Built in the 15th century atop an ancient burial ground, it offers visitors a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. The tower is part of the UNESCO World Heritage‑listed Saint‑Michel Basilica, which also houses the church’s crypt. Although the tower has been closed for a five‑year restoration project that began on 1 November 2021, it remains a symbol of Bordeaux’s rich architectural heritage.
