Skatepark Le Hangar Darwin
About
Hangar Darwin is Bordeaux’s third‑largest covered skatepark, spanning 2,600 sqm and constructed from upcycled military materials. Inside the former hangar you’ll find a wooden bowl, a big ramp, a street section and a variety of mini‑ramp challenges that appeal to skaters of all skill levels. The skatepark offers a flexible membership system: a 10‑€ annual adhesion grants unlimited access for the year, while a 100‑€ unlimited pass or a student discount of 80‑€ makes it affordable for schools, youth groups and the local skate community. For those who prefer a structured learning environment, a range of private and group courses run several times a week, starting at 20 € for a collective session and 30 € for a private lesson, with additional fees for two‑person packages. To accommodate everyone, Hangar Darwin schedules free periods each week for children, people with disabilities and women. On Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays afternoons there are free skate‑initiations for kids, followed by enjoyable snacks. Thursdays feature a 19‑to‑21‑h session solely for women, while a mixed free session runs on Thursdays as well. “Flat”, “BMX” and “Roller” riders can also book their own sessions via the website.
