Welcome to the Chalets Hosszu! We are located in the Hautes Alpes and we’re passionate about our mountains. We offer 10 chalets in Vars and Montgenèvre that can accommodate 12 to 24 people. In this listing, we present our 360m² chalet "Le Soleil" for 22 people, west-facing and directly located on the ski slopes. We are open year-round and offer weekend or weekly rentals. Weekly rentals are available from late December to late March and from early July to late August. As a small and dedicated team, we are highly available to assist you during your stay. We can connect you with service providers for meals or certified instructors for sports activities throughout the year, whether the resort is open or closed. Welcome to Chalet "Le Soleil," the best-situated chalet in Montgenèvre! You can ski directly to and from the chalet. Located 50m from the Chalmettes télémix, you are also within 300m of ski schools, shops, and restaurants. You can park your car in the private chalet parking and leave it untouched throughout your stay. The chalet is adorned with stones and old local wood, creating a unique and exceptional atmosphere for an unforgettable experience. Every room has been designed for your utmost comfort, including spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms and toilets, as well as various wellness facilities. A guided tour of the chalet: The chalet spans across 4 levels. You enter on the R1 level, where you'll find a ski room to remove and store your ski equipment. Additionally, there is a spacious living room of 80m² with large windows offering stunning views of the slopes and mountains. In the same area, the open-plan kitchen, separated by a bar made of old wood, opens onto the dining room and lounge. On this level, there is also a 40m² master suite with a private hammam room. Moving up to the R2 level, you'll find 2 bedrooms (a dormitory with 6 beds and an independent bathroom with sauna, shower, and whirlpool bath) and a suite that opens onto the ski slopes. There is also a games room with a pool table, foosball, and a game console. Continuing up the wooden staircase to the R3 level, you'll find 2 double bedrooms, each with their own private bathrooms. On the ground floor of the chalet, there are 3 more double bedrooms, including a suite with a children's sleeping area. This level provides access to the solarium, where you'll find the ultimate relaxation: a heated pool with jets maintained at 31°C, and a 4-person jacuzzi heated to 37°C. This chalet is located at the foot of the slopes in the resort of Montgenèvre. Established in 1907, Montgenèvre is the first French ski resort, situated near the Franco-Italian border at an altitude of 1860 meters. As part of the Franco-Italian Milky Way ski area, which includes Clavières, San Sicario, Césane, Sestrières, and Sauze d'Oulx (400 km of slopes and 91 ski lifts), the Montgenèvre ski area offers 100 km of slopes and 37 ski lifts. The resort is located 20 km from the Oulx TGV train station (Italy) and 100 km from Turin airport, as well as 10 km from Briançon. During both winter and summer, the resort shuttles run regularly to take you to the starting points of various activities. **HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DESTINATION - WINTER:** - The Montgenèvre Monts de la Lune ski area boasts 110 km of slopes ranging from 1,800 to 2,590 meters in altitude. - The high altitude and east winds from Italy ensure snowfall every winter from November to April (and sometimes even beyond). - With the 6-day pass (which we take care of reserving, preparing, and delivering, with discounts available for certain weeks), enjoy free access for 2 days to the Via Lattéa, the 5th largest ski area in the world (400 km of slopes between France and Italy: explore the Olympic sites of the Turin Winter Olympics!). - The Hautes-Alpes region enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year!
