Close to Mirepoix, in the South of France, Residence La Borde is situated in an exceptional location. You will stay in a renovated old farm, perhaps one of the oldest buildings in our village, and can share our "table d'hote", swimming pool and outdoor Jacuzzi, and our 10 000 m2 private garden with stunning views of the surrounding fields and the Pyrenees. We purchased it in 2020 and in our first year here we created the guest rooms. All our bedrooms have their own character and image and are equipped with an en suite shower. A classic style bedroom, a bedroom with accents on wood, a bedroom dedicated to fashion and sewing, a loft-style bedroom. Our goal was to create a space that is as comfortable, original, and cozy as possible. Some units also have a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, a microwave, and a fridge. A continental breakfast is available daily at the bed and breakfast. Evening menus can be provided featuring local specialties. Free wi-fi is at your disposal. Plavilla is a small village with easy access, located within an hour drive from Toulouse and Narbonne, 10 minutes from Mirepoix, 15 minutes from Castelnaudary, and 30 minutes from Carcassonne. The nearest airports are Toulouse and Carcassonne. The property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Free parking is at your disposal throughout the year. At the heart of Cathar country, between Pyrenees and Black Mountains, La Borde is close to roadside vineyards of Minervois and Corbieres wines. The village is not far from Castelnaudary; well known for its famous local dish "Cassoulet". One can visit the locks of the Canal du Midi and take a canal cruise. Residence La Borde is 10 min from Mirepoix, with its historic center, and its famous cathedral. This picturesque town has its typical weekly market. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and wine estates and from here you can explore this wonderful region. We started this project at a difficult time of the pandemic, but we hope that it will be successful and that at La Borde our guests will find a place of peace, relaxation, and creativity.
