Chateau de La Dauphine
About
Château de La Dauphine has a historical association with royalty, that it shares with Versailles, due to the fact that the Dauphine of France, Maria-Josepha of Saxony, mother of Louis XVI, stayed at the Château in the 18th century. The property is set in a 66-hectare vineyard (80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc) on an exceptional terroir. Having received the Organic Agriculture certification in 2015, La Dauphine has continued in this direction, adopting biodynamic techniques, and obtaining various environmental certifications. The property not only stands out for its rich past and the quality of its technical facilities but also for its commitment to encouraging wine tourism. With a wide variety of wine experiences, we offers visitors a unique moment at the château and a chance to see its philosophy in practice. La Dauphine has won the Best of Wine Tourism competition in several categories and is the only property in Bordeaux to have received 4 gold awards and an international prizes.
