Place of exhibition and memory in homage to the Vendée painter, ceramist and decorator. Born in 1910 in St-Hilaire-de-Riez, he left behind a prolific body of work. The scenography of the bourine has been completely redesigned in order to present the life and work of Henry Simon. It retains the simple and warm atmosphere of the artist's studio, while integrating digital mediation spaces. Within the permanent collection, discover the major thematic and stylistic periods that characterize his work, as well as the multiple techniques he used. The temporary exhibition room houses a rich and varied program around Henry Simon and artists offering original creation as part of residencies. A workshop space has been set up to accommodate both artists in residence and amateurs. The resource center specializing in fine arts offers a space for consultation and reading.
