Chateau Philippe Le Hardi
About
Exceptional witness of 2000 years of wine history in Burgundy, the Château de Santenay, is a legendary building, owned by Philippe le Hardi (1342-1404), Duke of Burgundy. Its 1395 ordinance is the source of the uniqueness of our great wines of monocepage terroir. The Château estate is the archetype of a large Burgundian estate combining excellence, exemplarity and respect for living in all its forms. Pillar of heritage, the Estate is part of the legend of Burgundy wines as much as it invents their future, showing the way to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Fifty plots are vinified in the cellars of the estate, offering multiple wines, from Mercurey to Gevrey-Chambertin, via Saint-Aubin, Santenay, Aloxe-Corton, Chambolle-Musigny, Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru ... Every visit to our fief of Santenay and every tasting of our wines is an intense and lively experience.
