Le Puy de Pariou is a striking young volcano, approximately 8,000 years old, standing proudly in the Auvergne region. Visitors can ascend via recent wooden stairs to enjoy panoramic views of the famous Chaîne des Puys and witness the volcano’s perfectly symmetrical crater. The site is famous for being the most photographed volcano in the chain, thanks to its regular slope shape.
