About
Founded in 1796, Mulot & Petitjean craft traditional gingerbread from more than 220 years. Production begins in the same way that it used to, with the creation of a base dough from wheat flour, honey and sweeteners. Dijon's genuine gingerbread, made from wheat flour, remains an authentic product which awakes the gourmand memory of our childhood. Mulot & Petitjean is certified an «Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant». This a sign of recognition from the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, implemented to distinguish French companies for their excellent traditional and industrial savoir-faire. It rewards unfailing attachment to a product, to traditional recipes, to unique savoir-faire, to the kindly preservation of its remarkable heritage, and to the enhancement of its historical sites and remarkable architecture. Mulot and Petitjean, whose factory is located in Dijon, operates 4 own stores in the region and has a distribution network throughout France.
